A proper long wheelbase CJ8 Scrambler and one of the more desirable configurations Jeep ever built.
Built as a passion project, this Scrambler underwent a full frame off restoration and features a brand new Willys Acres body mounted to a brand new Throttle Down Kustoms frame. The paint and body have seen virtually no use since completion, with approximately 2,000 km on the rest of the build.
Power comes from a 4.0L inline-six paired to a brand-new AX15 5 speed transmission. The Dana 300 transfer case has been fully rebuilt, along with both front and rear axles fitted with 3.73 gears. It sits on a 3” lift with 31” tires on American Racing wheels, giving it a classic, purposeful stance without sacrificing drivability.
Inside, the Jeep received a complete interior restoration including Dakota Digital gauges, new seats, console, and trim throughout. It comes with both the sought after half cab and hard doors, as well as a full-length soft top, making it easy to enjoy in any season.
What stands out about this Scrambler is that it wasn’t built to sit under a cover. The drivetrain combination was chosen for reliability, ease of use, and the ability to comfortably get in, turn the key, and go. It starts easily, drives smoothly, cruises confidently, and feels like a Jeep that was meant to be enjoyed rather than trailered from event to event.
